Zbigniew Sebastian - The Chairman

Zbigniew Sebastian was born in Wrocław in 1949 and has been active in his professional field since 1973.
His career started from studies and science work at the Technical University of Wrocław, which he graduated from in 1973, after attaining his PhD in a mechanical engineering. In 1977 he took the doctor’s degree of technical science.
Between 1973 and 1977 he worked first as an assistant, and then as a senior assistant at the Technical University of Wrocław.
From 1979 to 1980 he was engaged at the University of Missouri – Rolla in The United States.
Since 1982 he has been involved with the private sector of economy, where he has held directorial positions in several polish and international company boards.
Since 1990 Zbigniew Sebastian has been the owner of The Lower Silesian Industrial Corporation dealing with commercial and investment consulting.
He has contributed to a high degree to the creation of economical self-government in Lower Silesia.
Zbigniew Sebastian is one of the founders of the Lower Silesian Chamber of Commerce established in June 1990 in Wrocław.
It is, in fact, his second term as the President of the Lower Silesian Chamber of Commerce.
He is a member of the Board of The National Chamber of Commerce and Union Elbe/Oder with a seat in Berlin also.
Besides, he has taken a seat on several boards ( e.g Factory of Furniture FORTE S.A. , Wrocław Regional Development Agency S.A., Wrocław Technology Park S.A., ASPA S.A. ).
For his activities on behalf of economical self-government he has been distinguished by the Gold Honorary Badge of The National Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw.

Zbigniew Sebastian spents his leisure time cycling, skiing, swimming, reading books about history and political history.
He is married, his wife`s name is Irena. She is also a mechanical engineer who specializes in interiors.
He has one daughter called Agnes; she is a student of medicine at University.
